Actual ghost caught on camera. No, really! Pay no attention to the man behind the bedsheet!
It’s that spooky time of year again. Halloween is just around the corner and the ghosts are coming out to play! (Or whooshing out to play, I suppose.) Vampires are climbing out their coffins with a yawn, wishing they’d put on sunblock. Witches are feverishly stirring up poisons and potions, up to their eyes in rat tails and frog spleens. Werewolves and werebears (and sure, let’s throw in a werepig as well) are oinking– er, howling at the full moon. Ogres and trolls are dim-wittedly ambling about, dragging their clubs and looking for children to squash with them. (You wouldn’t make a very good jam to go on their sandwiches, but they’d give it a try!) It’s the whole menacing menagerie!
Whether you believe in ghosts or not, Halloween is a time for spooky scares and tasty treats. After stumbling through the dark twists and turns of the local haunted house up on the hill, hop on your broom (and don’t forget your wand!) and fly down to Golden Scoop for a scoop of pumpkin pie ice cream and a caramel apple latte. Or grab a hazelnut latte with a dollop of whipped cream and a scoop of our monthly Scooper Special: birthday “cake doughnut” ice cream by Thomas! Seasonal flavors are in full swing at the café and we can’t wait for you to try them! We promise they don’t bite…this time. (In hindsight, serving Biting Brownies last year was a bit of a mistake. They looked so chewy and innocent until you got close….)
Please dress up as your favorite ghastly ghoulie on Halloween when you come visit us! You’ll see a few spooky surprises standing behind the counter; we get to dress up, too! BOO!
